Ranafast may be scenic and serene, but this year it’s been named as Ireland’s fifth most romantic town!
It turns out that the locals are feeling the love and ranked among the highest shoppers for romantic gifts and roses on Valentine’s Day.
HenParty.ie compiled the Top 10 list following a search of five years’ worth of Google data, with Athy in Kildare coming out on top.
Perhaps it’s the case that romance is abound in Ranafast, where many couplings are created at summer Gaeltacht colleges or on walks with majestic Errigal as the backdrop?!
The study looked for searches for eight specific Valentine’s Day-related terms, including roses, flowers, perfume, red wine, white wine, prosecco, chocolates, and Notino (an online perfume retailer) and from there they made their discoveries.
