Finn Harps continued their improved pre-season outings with a win over Sligo Rovers this afternoon in a friendly at Finn Park.
It was Sligo who got off on the better foot in this North West clash, as Wilson Waweru slotted his shot home in the ninth minute to give Rovers the lead.
However Harps were quick to respond ten minutes later as Patrick Ferry guided in a cross from young star Aaron McLaughlin to even the scores.
It was Ferry again who gave Harps the lead half an hour into the game, as he was able to convert a chance created by some tricky work from new Harps signing Success Edogun.
Harps were able to see out the result with a solid defensive performance, and another promising run out as they look to put a dismal season last year behind them.
