Major concerns have been raised by Tory Island residents.
It’s after it was revealed the island will not have a nurse present for a period of a week.
It is understood that there was no nurse available to cover the opening between the 8th and the 14th of February, leaving local residents with little alternative for ongoing medical care.
Residents are being asked to contact their GPs & NowDoc if they require medical care, and 999 as usual in case of emergency – but the lack of a nurse on the island for a week has left many concerned.
One social media user commented on the matter, saying “this is not really acceptable for the island community.”
