St Mary’s hosted a very successful awards and dinner dance at the Villa Rose Ballybofey last night.
Ulster GAA President Ciaran McLaughlin was the special guest of the night along with Fr Kelly, and Rev Colin and Beth McKibbin.
The event was a great success thanks to all who attended, sponsored tables, provided raffle prizes, and helped with the organisation. A big shout out went to Ciara and Micheal and their helpers for the fabulous decorating, Eugene McGinley and his fellow musicians The Beef Steak Dancers for the excellent music that kept the dance floor busy all night, and resident photographer Gabrielle Gallagher for capturing the memories.
Chairman Oliver served as the MC and reminded everyone that St Mary’s is “THE CLUB,” built by the hard work and dedication of volunteers. He encouraged everyone to support the club’s ongoing fundraising efforts, including the weekly 50/50 draw and the National Draw. Tickets for the draw are €10 and are available from any committee member until the end of February.
Oliver also mentioned club coach Aine Reilly, who was recently named the 2023 Glenveagh Homes LGFA Volunteer of the Year Awards Club Coach of the Year. She will receive her award at Croke Park this Friday, bringing honour to both herself and St Mary’s Convoy C.L.G.
Finally, congratulations were extended to all the award winners of 2023.
Thanks to Gabrielle for the photos:
