An Apple iPad belonging to a person with additional needs was stolen from a car in Letterkenny last week.
Gardaí are investigating the theft that occurred in the area of Rowan Park, on Saturday, February 3, between 5.30pm and 5.45pm.
A car was parked in that area and items were being unloaded to a house when the theft occurred.
“The iPad in question is unique in that it is set up as a communications tool for a person with additional needs,” Garda Sergeant Eunan Walsh said.
“We are anxious to have this item returned to the owner. We appeal to residents in the area who may have observed suspicious activity/people in the area between those times to make contact with us. Should anybody be approached to reset an Apple iPad, or if they are offered one for sale on a second hand basis, we ask them to contact Gardaí also.”
Gardaí are appealing to anybody who may have travelled through the area with a dash cam between 5.30pm to 6pm to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100. The Garda Confidential Line may also be contacted on 1800 666 111.
