Tributes have been paid to a former Fine Gael TD who was the victim of a fatal car accident this weekend.
79 year old John Connor died following the single-car crash in County Roscommon yesterday afternoon.
The accident took place in the Frenchpark area of the county, close to where the former Deputy lived.
Sligo-Leitrim TD Frank Feighan paid tribute to his former party colleague on social media.
“John was a man of huge integrity, a great orator, political wisdom, good company and a great friend. May he rest in peace.”
