Over 70 homes in Donegal could be facing another day without power following extensive restoration efforts by ESB networks.
Workers from Cork and the UK have been assigned to the worst affected areas to help crews repair the damage of Storms Isha and Jocelyn.
More than 2,300 customers in Donegal had their supply restored in the past day, however, others will have to wait a while longer.
Supply is expected to be restored tonight for customers in Carndonagh, Buncrana, and Ballyshannon.
However, 43 properties in Raphoe and 31 between Shrove and Redcastle have had their restoration time extended until 8pm on Friday 26th January.
ESB Networks said it has deployed crews from as far as Cork to assist in the restoration effort in Donegal.
Furthermore, over 50 skilled personnel from UK counterparts in National Grid Electricity Distribution and UK Power Networks arrived in Ireland yesterday to help local teams.
The company said that crews continue to work through faults on the low voltage network that have primarily affected single homes and small clusters of customers.
The company has apologised for the disruption to family and commercial life that the outage causes and thanked customers across the county for their patience as our crews work to safely restore power.
Real-time status on power restoration is being updated regularly and is available on www.PowerCheck.ie and www.ESBNetworks.ie.
