The crew at Lough Swilly RNLI has expressed their deepest sympathy on the passing of Mary Magee.
Late of St Oran’s Road, Buncrana, she passed away peacefully at the Donegal Hospice last Sunday. She was laid to rest this afternoon following Requiem Mass at St Mary’s Church, Cockhill.
“Mary has been an integral part of our lifeboat family since its inception in 1987 and looked after the wellbeing of all our volunteers in their formative years, treating them as members of her own family,” a Lough Swilly RNLI spokesperson said.
“We wish to convey our deepest condolences to her husband, former Lifeboat Operations Manager and Station Chairman, Liam Magee, her son Lee who was an active crew member with Lough Swilly RNLI for a number of years and her son-in-law, George O’Hagan, Lough Swilly’s Coxswain.
“We greatly appreciate and give thanks to Mary for all her support to Lough Swilly RNLI over the years.
Liam, Clare, Don, Kathryn, Patrick and Lee, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.”
