A very successful RNLI fundraising event was held at the Olde Glen Bar, Carrigart, last weekend.

A grand total of €3,150 was raised on the night, a great start to the year for our local RNLI fundraising branch.

The Downings/Carrigart Lifeboat Committee extends a huge thank you to Cormac Walsh for his generosity as always, in facilitating the night and to Ciaran Sweeney and staff for the exceptional food served.

Cormac Walsh and his happy staff at the Olde Glen Bar and Restaurant.

As always, they are extremely grateful to all our generous sponsors, namely; Cormac Walsh, McBride Fishing Co. Ltd, McNutt’s of Donegal, Pavilion Restaurant – The Casey family, Jim Osborne (Artist), Mulroy Bay Mussels, Downings/Carrigart Lifeboat Committee, Elaine Bonner, Ben McBride, Trevor and Rita Wilson (Gainne Mor Alpacas) and Sinead Gallagher (Artist).

The lucky winner of the hamper was Eric Greenberg (kindly re-donated for the auction).

“A special thanks to the crew members from the Mulroy Coast Guard who were in

attendance and have supported us annually since the first year of this event (2015),” a committee spokesperson said.

A final thank you to Louis Boyce, who was our auctioneer for the night.
