Donegal County Council crews have managed to get a number of roads clear of trees and reopened to traffic.
The R245 Carrigart to Milford Road and the R247 Rathmullan to Ray Rd have both reopened, however, caution is required as there is still a lot of branches and debris. The R238 at Tooban has fully opened again. However, the R245 Letterkenny to Ramelton road will be closed until 5pm to allow for works to be completed to make road safe
The council’s Director of Roads and Transportation, Bryan Cannon, said earlier warned road users to exercise caution today because there will be widespread disruption as crews and other agencies attempt to clear the roads.
