Last night’s storm knocked down and uprooted hundreds of trees across Donegal.
Many were of personal pride for their owners in garden across the county.
However, one of the best-known is the huge tree which has stood for decades in the grounds of St Eunans GAA grounds at O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny.
The tree was a landmark for hundreds of children who graced the club (and sought shelter beneath it!) over the years and has been pictured in many photographs down through the years.
