Met Éireann has issued its most serious weather warning status for county Donegal this evening.
The Status Red wing alert will last from 5pm until 9pm as Storm Isha arrives across the country.
People are being warned to take extreme caution if they have to go out during this time.
A second wind alert has also been issued locally for Donegal last from 9pm until 1am.
The extreme weather warning says Storm Isha will bring extremely strong and gusty southwest winds with severe and destructive gusts, particularly in coastal and exposed areas.
The impacts include high waves, fallen trees and treacherous travelling conditions.
There is also the risk of significant power outages.
People are being warned to have all their remote devices ready, back-up power supplies and lighting such as candles and torches ready.
We will bring you more on this through the day.
