A milder weekend is in store after a week of freezing temperatures, but a weather warning is still in store with Storm Isha on the horizon.
Today will see temperatures between 8 and 10 degrees, with strong winds and heavy showers in the morning.
Rain will subside for a time in the early afternoon but will intensify again this evening, heaviest in the west. Temperatures overnight tonight will be between 3 and 5 degrees.
However, a nationwide status orange wind warning is in place on Sunday from 11am, with Storm Isha approaching over the Atlantic.
Met Éireann are warning of strong and gusty winds throughout tomorrow with heavy rain at times also.
The national forecaster are warning those on the roads tomorrow to take care, with the potential for difficult travelling conditions and loose debris on the roads due to the high winds.
Temperatures tomorrow will be between 10 and 12 degrees.
