It’s been announced that comedian Oliver Callan will take over the morning show formerly fronted by Ryan Tubridy on RTÉ Radio 1.
Callan had been one of the presenters covering the Nine O’Clock Show on rotation ever since Tubridy left the national broadcaster in controversial circumstances.
The new show, simply called Oliver Callan, will air in the 9am-10am slot on RTÉ Radio 1 from Monday the 29th of January.
Callan will be earning €150,000 per year to host the one-hour slot for the next two years.
The comedian is best known for his range of comedic and satirical impressions on Callan’s Kicks.
