A recent survey shows that County Donegal is one of the 5 most popular remote working locations in the state.
The research carried out by the Western Development Commission shows County Donegal was the fifth most popular place for Irish workers to relcoate to for remote working.
The survey aimed to identify the top locations Irish workers have relocated to, now that remote working has become more commonplace.
Of the 13.7% of respondents who had already moved for remote work, Cork, Galway, Kildare and Mayo were the other most popular remote working destinations in the state.#
However the impact of the cost of living and housing crisis is showing that the trend of emigrating within Ireland may also see a decline in future.
Out of a further 19% of those surveyed who were considering moving for remote work, the most popular destination was simply “outside of Ireland.”
