Donegal’s Muireann Bradley wowed viewers on the Late Late Show tonight with a stand-out performance of ‘When the Levee Breaks’.
The 17-year-old Ballybofey musician then joined actors Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott for a chat about her musical influences and flourishing career.
With her proud father John watching from the audience, Muireann shared how her passion for music began at a young age, listening to 1920s and 30s music at home.
“I just took to the music and I came to love it,” she said.
“Seeing my dad play, I wanted to take it up myself.”
Muireann is set for a whirlwind 2024 after ringing in the New Year on Jools Holland’s Hootenanny alongside Rod Stewart, Olivia Dean and the Sugababes – and that’s just the beginning for the talented teen.
Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty gave a powerful insight into Muireann’s rising popularity, sharing that he had to borrow a copy of her debut album ‘I Kept These Old Blues’ from a friend to showcase on the programme!
