Gardai have reissued an appeal after a young woman was struck by a car in Buncrana recently.
The young pedestrian was hit at Ardarvan Square on Monday, December 18th between 4.30pm and 5pm.
She was taken to hospital and was treated for her injuries but thankfully they are not life-threatening in nature.
Gardai say it is believed that the driver may have stopped at the scene for a short time but then left again.
The vehicle has been described as being a dark coloured saloon, possibly an Audi.
Gardai say this was a busy time of day leading up to Christmas and have appealed to anybody who witnessed the incident to get in touch with them.
A spokesperson said “If anybody witnessed the incident we ask them to make contact with Gardaí. We do believe that there were witnesses to this incident as the area was very busy at the time.
“If anybody travelled in that area who had a dash cam we ask them to make the footage available to us. Gardaí in Buncrana may be contacted on 074-9320540 in relation to this incident.”
