A pair of walkers were guided to safety by Donegal Mountain Rescue Team after becoming lost at Lough Salt.
The call-out was raised at 6.30pm, after dark on Saturday evening, when two hill walkers got lost in the mist.
The volunteers at DMRT were able to locate the walkers using Sarlock, a GPS tracking device, and quickly made their way to their position.
The walkers were found near Golan on the Milford side of the mountain, which meant they had travelled a long way from their starting point at Lough Salt and were very tired, wet, and cold.
The team swiftly escorted the walkers off the hill and made sure they were well before driving them back to their vehicle. The team was able to stand down at 20:49.
The team would like to thank An Garda Síochána and Malin Head Coast Guard for their assistance.
The team is urging all road users to be extra careful during the current cold snap.
