Donegal Gardaí have increased in their presence along the border in recent days.
Local members last night conducted a checkpoint in Lifford as part of a Cross Border operation with the PSNI.
It follows a spate of burglaries and other incidents along the border in recent weeks.
Gardai say they also want to reinforce their road safety message.
A spokesperson said “Please always drive with care, slow down and wear a seatbelt regardless of where you travel.
“Never drive while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Road safety should always be a priority.”
