A hotel worker who kicked and pushed another man in a Letterkenny nightclub has appeared in court.
Michael Korytkowski, 41, appeared at Letterkenny District Court charged with assault.
The charge relates to an incident at Pulse Nightclub on July 22nd, 2022.
The court heard how Gardai spoke to the accused after a man claimed he had been pushed and kicked by him inside the club.
The incident had been captured on CCTV.
The altercation happened following an “exchange of words” between the two men which was “regrettable”, the court was told.
Garda Sergeant Gerard Dalton said Korytkowski, of The Maples, Lismonaghan, Letterkenny, had no previous convictions at all.
He worked part-time in a local hotel and had apologised to the victim.
The court was told by the accused man’s solicitor that he was “not a fighting man.”
Judge Eiteain Cunningham asked Sergeant Dalton if the victim had suffered any injuries as a result of the attack and she was told that they were “soft tissue” injuries.
She adjourned the case until March 11th for an offer of compensation and a victim impact report.
