It has been a busy start to the New Year for Rosses AC.
Last Saturday saw the Dungloe ParkRun host its 300th event with goodies and a few spot prizes on the day.
It is a great credit to the volunteers who have ensured this event keeps happening and give up their time each week – well done all. Please note there are a number of upcoming events for all juveniles and adults. National Indoor Masters this weekend Jan 13th in Athlone, Donegal Short Course Cross Country and adult cross country relays Jan 21st in Carndonagh, All Ireland Combined events Jan 28th, Winter Classic Track and Field Meet Feb 4th, Donegal Throws Day Feb 10th as well as a number of road races.
On that note, why not make a new start in the New Year. Do you want to be part of an athletics club in 2024 where perhaps you want your kids to be more active, maybe you want to prepare for a specific race/distance, perhaps it’s to help out the coaches or become a coach or even just volunteer some additional time and be part of a vibrant club and community of people. Now is a great time to consider joining or renewing your Rosses AC/Athletics Ireland membership. This is an annual registration fee that makes you a club member and covers insurance responsibilities both for training and competition purposes. Registration typically runs from Jan 1st to December 31st. Annual registration fee for Juveniles is now €25 per child for the year (covering Athletics Ireland and Rosses AC membership), €30 for adult membership or €75 for a family. For existing members, registration fees can be paid directly on PayPal or please reach out to a club contact or look up our club page on Facebook.
