Paddy Conaghan is showing no signs of slowing down despite being in his mid eighties!
The Arranmore Island native is taking off for charity swims across the country for the third year in a row.
This year, Paddy is doing his “ducking and diving” swims in support of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, where he plans to take a dive in every lake in the country.
He’s getting underway this Sunday morning, with the trek expected to take roughly 6 weeks.
You can follow his progress through the Ducking & Driving around the lakes of Ireland for IMNDA Facebook page.
His fundraiser is also well on its way to the initial €1,000 goal – you can donate to it here.
