People in Kilmacrennan have been left outraged after the home of a pensioner was attacked by vandals.
The house on the town’s Main Street had the front porch smashed up on Monday night.
The front paving stone was smashed and potted plants were thrown about.
Local resident and well-known businessman Denis Sheridan highlighted the incident on social media.
He said the attack on the elderly person’s home was “a cruel act of vandalism.”
“We have the damage repaired now ,but unfortunately the elderly person who lives there and is not in good health at all is traumatised by this attack on his home.
“This may have been done by people who think it’s just a bit of fun and it probably was for them.
“But really it’s just a cruel act of vandalism and intimidation of a pensioner who has never harmed anyone.
“I’m sure it’s pointless writing this post but maybe the people who done this might think again if tempted to harass this pensioner.”
