Donegal will be hit with more downpours and possible flooding today.
Storm Gerrit has brought strong gusts to the country this Wednesday as a Status Orange wind warning is issued for western counties.
Donegal is under a Status Yellow wind and rain warning until midnight tomorrow (Thursday).
There is a chance of heavy showers leading to localised flooding, forecasters warn.
“Strong southerly winds overnight, veering southwesterly tomorrow, in conjunction with spring tides, may lead to coastal flooding,” they added.
A second warning has been issued for wind and rain from midnight Thursday until 6am Friday.
The alert says: “Southwest to west winds will be strong and gusty at times. A combination of spring tides, large waves and strong winds may result in some coastal flooding. Squally showers may lead to localised flooding.”
The Road Safety Authority urged road users to exercise caution while the warnings are in place.
