The students of Lurgybrack NS in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, have released a country Christmas single that is sure to get everyone’s toes tapping!
The song, titled “A Kids’ Country Christmas,” is the title track of the Christmas Hoedown show and features the talented third-class pupils of Ms Carr’s and Ms Bannan/Mrs. McCrossan’s classes, as well as musicians from the school.
The inspiration for the song, according to the pupils, was to spread the Christmas cheer all around the world… and enjoy the craic!
The accompanying music video was filmed in the Clanree Hotel and Lurgybrack NS.
The school would like to extend a big thank you to all the students who participated, as well as to Caela Carr, Percy Robinson, and Tommy Conway for their audio recording skills. A special thanks also goes out to Mr Cheevers, the school principal, and Marleys Bus for their help with transportation, and to Kevin Bradley and Michael McBride for their generous support in funding this special project.
