Magee Weaving Ltd, New Row, Donegal Town, Co Donegal, is expanding its team with the appointment of Sales Designers in Apparel and the Interiors and Accessories department.

Sales Designer – Apparel
Based at the Mill in Donegal Town and reporting to the Head of Design, the objective of this role is to develop apparel collection sales in the UK, Europe and US and to design fabrics for seasonal collections and bespoke customer developments.
Key responsibilities: –
- Sales development of forward order and stock Apparel collections to Luxury Brands.
- Management of end to end sales cycle from building a sales pipeline to debt management.
- Carry out fabric design individually and with Design Team.
- Working with clients on bespoke developments and interpreting their ideas into the correct design and fabric type.
- Work with production teams on design implementation and bulk production.
Key requirements:-
- A qualification in a textile design and previous experience in a fabric / textiles sales role would be an advantage.
- An interest and understanding of quality textiles and design and natural fibres.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to forge good working relationships both internally and externally.
- A strong working knowledge of Excel and a quick learner who will be able to learn in-House systems.
- The ability to use initiative and complete all tasks and projects conclusively and to deadlines.
The remuneration package includes a competitive salary, store discount, free-parking, a generous workwear allowance and Company pension scheme after a qualifying period. This is a full-time role which, due to its nature and scope, is not suitable for remote/hybrid working.

Sales Designer – Interiors and Accessories
Based at the Mill in Donegal Town and reporting to the CEO Head of Design on design-related tasks, the objective of this role is to develop Magee Weaving sales of Interiors and Accessories Collections in Ireland, UK, Europe and US and to provide design assistance to the Design team.
Key responsibilities:-
- Sales development of Interiors and Accessories collections to high end trade; independent retailers, hotels, interior designers, international design houses and corporate gifting organisations and direct to consumer: via magee1866.com.
- Design patterns in existing and some new qualities for Interior and Accessories textiles.
- Management of end to end sales cycle from building a sales pipeline to debt management.
- Admin and set-up of relevant trade shows.
- Working with fabric archives.
