The opening of a live nativity and Christmas lights display in Letterkenny has been cancelled due to poor weather.
The display, run by local man Tom Giblin in the Lisnennan area of the town, features a live nativity scene with animals as well as a lights display, with it also raising money for charity.
However its opening, planned for Sunday, has now been cancelled due to the risk posed by Storm Elin.
In a statement, Tom said that “in the interest of health/safety & people’s comfort due to the adverse weather, I have to cancel the opening tomorrow evening.”
