Letterkenny University Hospital’s (LUH) Sports and Social Club has had a major win at the Irish Healthcare Awards this week.
The LUH team won the Workplace Wellbeing Champion Award at a glitzy ceremony in the Royal Convention Centre in Dublin on Tuesday night.
Six of the club committee members attended the awards.
LUH Sports and Social Club members at the ceremony included Margaret Houston, Johanna Sweeney, Fin Begley, Mary Mulvaney, Angela McGinley and Winnie Felle.
The club was founded in 1996 and now has over 1,900 members who work in and around the hospital. It organises sporting and social outings and events for its members.
They took the opportunity to thank the local businesses who sponsored their Sports and Social Club. The sponsors were McGinley Motors, Divers Cars, Kelly’s Toyota Garage, Bizzprint, Gallagher’s Bakery and McCallion Jewellers.
