A driver escaped serious injury after going off the road at a dangerous corner outside Letterkenny last night.
The crash occurred on the Cullion Road, a busy back road outside Letterkenny town.
The car had crashed into a ditch due to poor visibility.
Donegal County Council took immediate action at the site this morning to install reflective strips.
Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh has welcomed the new safety measures and issues his thanks to Letterkenny area Roads Engineer David McIlwaine.
Cllr Kavanagh said: “Thanks to David McIlwaine for getting this done for me this morning at Cullion/Bonagee/ Readymix crossroads. A car went off the road here last night, because of the poor visibility.
“The installation this morning of these reflective delineators will improve the situation at this dangerous bend. Thanks again to the council for the speedy response.”
