Dunkineely Lights
You are all welcome to our Dunkineely Christmas Lights switch on this Saturday.
Rumours are that Santa will make an appearance, so come along to central Main Street at 5pm. Our Christmas lights are supported by Dunkineely Community Ltd and local donations. If you would like to make a donation, come along on the day or e-mail dunkineelycommunity@gmail.com.
Bruckless NS
Bruckless National School will hold a Christmas craft fair and coffee morning this Friday, 8 th December at 10:45.
This popular event will have lots of cards and decorations made by the children for sale. There will also be a selection of used books available for a small donation. A donation from the money raised will be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal. Everyone is welcome.
Carol Service
There will be a Carol Service in the Church of St Joseph & Conal Bruckless on Sunday 17 th December at 6 pm. All are welcome to attend.
The late Joseph Gallagher
The death has occurred of Joseph (Josie) Gallagher, Castlereagh, Bruckless.
Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary, his brother Conal, sadly missed by his sister Ann Kathleen (Philadelphia), his sister Mary (London), sister in law Noreen, nieces and nephews extended family friends and neighbours.
Funeral mass was on Sunday at the Church of Saint Joseph and Saint Conal with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Killybegs Community Hospital Patients Comfort Fund, care of any family member or John B. O’Donnell Funeral Director.
The late Nancy Gallagher
Dunkineely Community Ltd and friends wish to express our sincere condolences to the Breslin family, Croagh upon the recent passing of Nancy Gallagher, Glenswilly.
Nancy’s daughter, Kathleen is highly involved in the local community, having volunteered for DCL for over ten years. Her family also volunteers for local projects several times a year. We are all thinking of the family at this difficult time. Funeral Mass was Sunday, in St Columba’s Church, Glenswilly, with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.
Church Services
Methodist Church: Normal Sunday Services will be held at 10:30am in Dunkineely and 12 noon in Ardara.
Catholic Church: Mass will be held at the normal times. Mass can also be viewed on the Bruckless Church – St Joseph and St Conal Facebook page. Eucharistic Adoration is on Friday from 11am to 3pm. Confession can be heard before weekend Masses or arrange a time by contacting Fr Brady at the Parochial House (074 973 7015).
Church of Ireland: The normal Sunday service will be at 10:45am in Killaghtee.
Dunkineely Celtic FC
Donegal Physiotherapy D2: The team lost 1-6 at home to Kerrykeel 71 on 3 rd December.
The next match is away to Ballybofey United on 10 th December at 1pm.
Lottery: Dunkineely Celtic Lotto results for 19 th November were 2, 4, 16, 25.
There was no Jackpot winner. Consolation prizes of €20 each went to Diane Harvey, Maureen Feeney and Peter Galway.

There was no Jackpot winner. Consolation prizes of €20 each went to Nigel Weir, Seoirse Ellison and Adam Duddy. Jackpot stands at €1,380.
Naomh Ultan

Boot swap: CLG Naomh Ultan are providing members and community an opportunity to take part in a Boot Swap. Do you have any football boots that no longer fit? Would you like to swap them for a bigger size?
They will be collecting boots at their next few training sessions and hope to distribute them early next season.
Royal Flush Lotto: Lotto results for 03/12/2023 were 5, 17, 10, 15.
There was no winner of the jackpot of €840, consolation prizes went to Charlotte Carey, Jimmy Byrne and Liam Conneely. Next week’s jackpot now stands at €860.
