A London-based Donegal man’s tractor raffle has managed to raise more than €40,000 for emergency services who assisted during the Creeslough tragedy.
Originally from Carrigart, kind-hearted Brendan ‘Tiny’ Vaughan is known to many for his wonderful photography of the Donegal and Irish community both here and across the water.

He is also famous for his charitable deeds and managed to source a stunning vintage Massey Ferguson 135 which he used to honour those who worked tirelessly during the tragedy of October 7th, 2022.
The Creeslough Tractor Draw took place in Tiffty’s Tavern, Greenford, London, on Sunday night and the lucky winner was Buncrana native, James Donegan. Indeed, James arrived to work in the city a few weeks ago and only purchased his ticket on the morning of the draw.

Speaking to Donegal Daily this afternoon, Brendan confirmed the raffle had raised a whopping €40,000 (and counting) for the voluntary services Mevagh Fire Service, Critical Emergency Medical, SARDA and K9 Search and Rescue. Any additional money raised, he added, will go to the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance charity.
“Sincere thanks to all who supported this fund-raiser in any way, your contribution is greatly appreciated by all four of the beneficiary voluntary services,” Brendan said.

The ticket was drawn by none other than Fr John-Joe Duffy, and members of the Mevagh Fire Service were in attendance, along with the sponsors of the tractor. The presentation of the Massey, and monies raised, will take place in Donegal over the Christmas and New Year period.
