A low temperature weather-warning with ice and frost has been issued for Donegal.
The Status Yellow warning which will see temperatures plunge to -3 degrees was issued for tomorrow and Friday.
The warning from Met Eireann comes into place from 6pm on Thursday and will last until 12pm on Friday.
Those planning to travel during this period have also been warned to take extra care.
The weather alert warns “Very cold with temperatures expected to fall below -3 degrees in many areas. Frost and ice developing will cause hazardous travelling conditions.”
The warning covers Donegal and a number of other counties including Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary.
