The Buncrana Palestine Solidarity Group will screen the acclaimed documentary ‘Gaza’ in the town next week.
The screening will take place on Thursday 30th 7:30pm in the Exchange on Castle Avenue.
The multi award winning documentary premiered at the International Sundance Festival in 2019 and was the Irish entry for Best International Feature Oscar in 2020. Made by Irish film makers, Gary Keane and Andrew McConnell, it was filmed between 2014-2018 and gives a rich portrayal of the daily lives and hopes of Palestinians in Gaza of all ages.
The solidarity group said: “In light of the horrendous suffering, mass death and destruction that has rained down on the civilian population of Gaza from relentless Israeli bombing raids, in brutal retaliation and revenge for the deadly and brutal Hamas attack on October 7th, the voices of ordinary people trapped in Gaza need to be heard and supported.”
Entry is by donation to the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians.
