A man has appeared in court charged with sexually assaulting a woman on two occasions.
The man, who is in his 70s, cannot be named to protect the identity of the alleged victim.
He is accused that on dates in 2010, he did sexually assault a female in West Donegal.
The charges are Contrary to Section 2 of the Criminal Law (Rape) (Amendment) Act 1990.
A Garda told Letterkenny District Court that she arrested the man and that he made no reply to both charges.
Gardai said they had no objection to bail.
However, conditions of his bail include that he stay away from the alleged injured party and that he be contactable at all times by mobile phone.
The case was adjourned to January 15th next with two counsel being assigned to the accused.
