This week’s Dunkineely/Bruckless/Killaghtee Community Notes are out.
Christmas Lights
Some big news this week as Dunkineely Community Ltd have been installing an ESB outside power supply for our Dunkineely Christmas Lights. This will enable us to move to the next level of providing a very special Christmas atmosphere along main street. Details to follow. A big thanks to Donegal County Council and the support of Councilors Niamh Kennedy and Noel Jordan. Also, thanks to Mac’s Bar (Damien McIntyre) for donating a location for our electric connection. If you wish to donate to this year’s Christmas Lights collection, boxes can be found in Floyd’s Mace, the butcher’s and the pubs from Thursday.

There were classes and a concert, all supported by Aoife Feeney, Peter Campbell, Aidan O’Donnell, Martin McGinley and Megan Níc Fionnghaile. They were joined in the concert by Kevin O’Donnell on guitar and Glenties fiddle player Peter Campbell. A big thankyou to Kevin O’Donnell who does so much to keep traditional music and instruments thriving as an art in the area.
