Donegal TikToker Eric Roberts has been chosen to take part in one of Netflix’s biggest shows.
The Downings man will be one of 456 people competing to win $4.56 million in Squid Game: The Challenge.
According to Goss.ie, he filmed the new Netflix reality show over a year ago but was unable to tell anyone about it.
Roberts quit his job as an SNA at Mulroy College last year to follow his social media dream.
And things have just got bigger and bigger for him.
He recently shot a number of hilarious videos on behalf of Donegal County Council and Donegal Tourism as they launched a campaign showcasing Donegal as a true hidden treasure.
Now his appearance on the new show is set to propel Roberts into the big time if the show takes off.
The new show is due to hit Netflix on November 22nd.
It’s based around the fictional drama, Squid Game, which follows 456 people playing in a life-or-death competition to win $40 million.
In the new show, competitors take part in a series of games inspired by the original show – plus surprising new additions – their strategies, alliances, and character will be put to the test while their fellow challengers are eliminated around them.
New episodes will be out weekly but thankfully Eric won’t be taking part in real life-or-death situations.
