There will be mist patches and a few bright spells in places at first across Ulster this morning.

However, it will turn cloudy with outbreaks of rain developing in the west during the morning and other parts in the afternoon. Bright spells and showers will follow as the rain clears eastwards by evening. Highest temperatures of 6 to 8 degrees in light to moderate west to southwest winds.

Showers will continue along Atlantic coastal counties tonight, with the chance of hail and thunder, it’ll be mostly dry further east with just a few isolated showers. A clear and cold night with lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees, with frost possibly developing in places, in mostly light to moderate west to southwest winds. Mist and fog patches also.

There will be a cold, sunny start to Friday but early mist and fog may linger in places. Cloud will gradually build from the southwest with rain following in the evening. Highest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees in mostly light southwest winds at first, backing southeasterly and strengthening later with the rain.
