Crohn’s & Colitis Ireland will be holding a patient day in Letterkenny this weekend.
The event will be held in the Radisson Blu Hotel on Saturday, November 25th, for people living with and impacted by Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and Microscopic Colitis. Places can only be booked online.
The day will feature information sessions provided by the IBD team in Letterkenny University Hospital on topics such as flare management, diet, how to get most from your appointments, new treatments, explaining IBD and more.
The day will also feature a networking lunch, where participants will have the opportunity to meet others who live with IBD.
The medical speakers on the day include:
- Cathy Walsh, Advanced Nurse Practitioner in IBD
- Louise Mc Dermott- Community Dietician
- Dr Vikrant Parihar Consultant Gastroenterologist
Head of Communications Amy Kelly said: “This event is all about bringing the IBD community together to learn from the experts and meet other people living with these conditions.
We are here to support people who are living with IBD, along with their family and friends. We work to improve the quality of life and well-being of the IBD community through sensitive support services, including advocacy, provision of information, training and events.
