The Buncrana branch of Ireland Palestinian Solidarity Campaign is holding a vigil this Sunday to remember the thousands of Palestinian children killed over the past month.
The vigil will take place at the Castle Bridge in Swan Park at 3.30pm.
The vigil is a solemn occasion to remember the innocent lives lost in the ongoing conflict in Palestine.
The Buncrana branch of Ireland Palestinian Solidarity Campaign hopes to raise awareness of the devastating impact that the conflict has on children and their families.
The UN reports the death toll in Gaza stands at 10,818 since the start of the conflict. More than half of those killed are said to be children and women. Almost 30,000 people have been injured in the territory. About 2,650 others, including over 1,350 children, have been reported missing and may be trapped or dead under the rubble, awaiting rescue or recovery.
Israel reports over 1,200 fatalities and 5,400 injuries, as of Thursday, as well as 35 Israeli fatalities in Gaza.
