With six weeks to go until Christmas, big retailers are once again pulling out all the stops with their Christmas adverts.
A traditional favourite is the John Lewis ad. This year, the ad tells the story of Snapper, the Perfect Christmas Tree, who grows from a seed and becomes a larger-than-life Venus flytrap. The plant is adored by a caring boy, but initially shunned by the boy’s family.
The highlight of the ad is a new song by Andrea Bocelli, who sings Festa written and produced by Italian duo Le Feste Antonacci especially for John Lewis.
‘Let Your Traditions Grow’ reads the advert strapline, with the message stressing that embracing the unexpected over what’s considered ‘perfect’ can actually lead to a happier time all round.
Andrea Bocelli’s new single Festa for the advert will raise money for childrens charities including The Andrea Bocelli Foundation and the John Lewis Partnership’s Building Happier Futures Charity Partners.
