Inspirational Geraldine Mullan presented proceeds from her Amelia’s Flight of Hope to the volunteers of Lough Swilly RNLI at the weekend.
Geraldine was the sole survivor of an August 2020 freak car accident at Lough Foyle which claimed the lives of her husband John, 49, and children Tomás, 14, and Amelia, six. She presented a cheque for €6,550 to the local RNLI, raised at her Amelia’s Flight of Hope event held at The Mullan Hope Centre in early October.
“We were delighted to welcome Geraldine Mullan to the station today. Geraldine and her team are an inspiration to us all,” a Lough Swilly RNLI spokesperson said.
“When you see the dedication and enthusiasm with which they (Hope Centre) work to benefit our whole community, who in turn staunchly support her efforts. We are honoured to benefit from their ingenuity and hard work. Many thanks from all at Lough Swilly RNLI.”
