Donegal County Council gritters will be out in force tonight as temperatures dip to near-freezing.
All main routes in the county will be treated from 9pm.
Met Eireann is forecasting a chilly night for the north west, with lows of 1 to 4 degrees Celcius. There will be isolated showers and clear spells, with some frost where skies remain clearer.
