Red Hughs has confirmed they are on the search for a new senior team manager after Eugene Browne stepped down from the role.
Browne departs after one season in charge, citing work commitments. He leaves on a high note having achieved both goals of securing Division 2 status and getting to the knockout stages of the Intermediate Championship. Red Hughs went down to the eventual winners, Downings, at the quarter final stage.
“Unfortunately, Eugene Browne has stepped down as senior men’s team manager,” a spokesperson for the club said.
“We would like to thank Eugene and all his backroom team for all their hard work this past season. We wish him and his backroom team all the best for the future.”
With a fine mix of youth and experience in the squad, and a talented U20 panel, there is expected to be keen interest in the role.
Anyone interested in the vacant position should contact club chairperson, Andy Doherty, on 0894913247 or by sending an email to secretary.redhughs.donegal@gaa.ie by 5pm on Friday the 17th of November.
