A weather advisory has been issued ahead of a week of wet and windy weather as Storm Ciaran approaches.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Met Éireann is warning of heavy showers or longer spells of rain at times over Ireland with flooding likely in places, as soils are saturated and river levels are high.
Late Wednesday and into Thursday, Storm Ciaran is expected to bring heavy rainfall and strong winds, but at the moment is expected to be worst in Munster and Leinster.
No weather warning has officially been issued by Met Éireann, but with the storm expecting to bring extremely bad conditions, espcecially in the south of the country, that may only be a matter of time going into the next week.
