Donegal Domestic Violence Services is a charitable organisation working to support women and their families affected by domestic abuse, throughout the county of Donegal.
We are looking to support our work by recruiting for the following panel of locum support staff.
Locum Support Worker
(Part time hours including weekend and night cover and working public holidays)
Donegal Domestic Violence Services is a 24hr frontline response service working with women who are experiencing domestic abuse. We are currently seeking to recruit a panel of Locum Support Workers to support the work of our organisation.
Main Purpose of job:
The main function of this job will be to answer and respond to helpline calls from clients in distress and to provide 1:1 support to our clients across our residential locations within County Donegal as well as to source emergency accommodation within the county if required. This post is a lone worker post and applicants should have prior experience of working in this type of situation, there will be an induction and training period included.
Position Reports to:
Manager, Main building, Letterkenny
Salary:
€19.32 per hour (7- 21 hrs per week Mon – Sun) must be willing to work public holidays and concession days including Christmas and New Year.
Essential Criteria:
- A relevant Third Level Degree.
- A history of working in social care settings with adults or young people.
- A background/experience working with adult/children who have been through trauma/experienced domestic abuse.
- A good understanding of Child Protection referral criteria and experience of working within the Child Protection system.
- Competency in IT Skills
