The 5th class pupils of St Mary’s National School in Stranorlar were left spellbound yesterday after receiving a fascinating historic tour of the town.
Their guide was none other than local photographer, and one of the older residents of the area, Gerard McHugh.
Albeit a Ballybofey man, Gerard was well able to inform the attentive pupils about Stranorlar’s fascinating history and hidden gems which included Isaac Butt’s grave and the old Famine Graveyard.
The school took the opportunity to thank their guide and the children are eagerly awaiting their tour of the other half of the Twin Towns!
