Finn Harps will celebrate their 2001st game in senior football on Saturday afternoon when they take on Athlone Town at home in their final game of the season.
To mark this historic match, the club wants to continue looking to the future by offering free entry to all primary school students accompanied by a paying adult.
“With an early (2:30pm) kick-off, this is an ideal opportunity to bring those smaller ones without having to worry about bedtime,” a club spokesperson said.
“The players and management will also be available for an end of season pitchside meet and greet with fans, young and old, after the game so the kids will have extra opportunities for autographs and photos as the season draws to a close.”
Special guests will be the ‘other’ Harps team, that is the Finn Harps U12s from West Derby, Liverpool, who will be the flag bearers on the day. They will be proudly wearing a kit provided by the Ballybofey club.
“So, as we brace ourselves for the next 2,000 games, we invite you to make the trip once again from your first home, to your second home at Finn Park, and to keep believing in the crazy concept that is Finn Harps FC.”
Tickets are on sale as usual at https://finnharps.ie/tickets/ where you can also pick up your free kids tickets when buying adult or concession tickets.
