Donegal actor and Game of Thrones star Art Parkinson is to branch off into a new career – as a barista.
The Moville star has often helped out at his parents coffee shop The Coffee Tree on the Strand Road in Derry.
But having enjoyed their eight years behind the counter, Finbar and Movania Parkinson are now taking a step back.
And now ready top roll up his sleeves, 21-year-old Art is taking on the mantle of chief barista!
As well as his starring role as Rickon Stark in Game of Thrones, Art has featured in a number of movies including Zoo, San Andreas and Kubo and the Two Strings.
He revealed “As the youngest son of Movania and Finbar, I grew up watching my mother and father grow and nurture our business on The Strand Road.
“I’m delighted to be continuing to serve the people of Derry City from The Coffee Tree. And now, In my fathers time of ill health, I hope to serve our Coffee Tree family as well as he has.
“Our family has been working hard behind the scenes in preparation of our re-opening this Monday (the 16th of October) and we look forward to seeing you all again.”
The Parkinson family said that as they start their new journey, they wanted to express their heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and trust in them.

Art has already been inundated with best wishes from both coffee customers and film fans.
