Letterkenny musician Brighdin Carr has announced a special evening of songs and story in aid of Donegal Hospice.
Fresh from performing at Margo’s concert in the Mount Errigal last week, Bri is inviting fans to a relaxing ‘Songs from the Sea’ concert at the Lifford Old Courthouse on Saturday 4th November with special guests from the Wild Atlantic Women.
Guests will enjoy a musical journey across the waves of the Atlantic through the islands of West Donegal, with songs from Bri’s latest ‘Song from the Sea’ album and more.
“Do come along, because the craic and the storytelling and the singing will be mighty,” says Bri.
Brí Carr ran Blue Ribbon Arts for over 26 years and in 2017 was approached to record her own songs. Her first release, ‘Arainn Mhór’ featured on TG4 Nuacht as it was the first Irish language song to enter the World Download charts at No. 3 in over a decade. ‘A little Bit Diva’ spent two weeks on RTE Most Recommended Playlist, a collaboration which was recorded remotely online, with Newtown Studios and The Henry Girls.
Brí is also a part of the hugely successful Wild Atlantic Women, Donegal’s finest female artists in a wide range of genres from folk to country, traditional to modern who have decided to come together and join their voices dedicated to the love of all things Donegal.
Tickets for Songs of the Sea are out now, with proceeds going to Donegal Hospice.
