Monsignor Dan Carr has retired as parish priest of St Johnson, after 58 years of service to the Catholic Church.
He held his last mass there at 11am this morning.
Monsignor Carr has been St Johnson’s parish priest for 35 years, and a number of his family and friends were also in attendance at his final mass today.
The Fanad native was first ordained to the priesthood in 1965, and can now enjoy retirement after almost six decades spent in the priesthood.
